Clinical Governance

Clinical Governance can be defined as a framework through which NHS Organisations (and partners) are accountable for continuously improving the quality of patient care. Staff need to ensure that the appropriate systems and procedures are in place to monitor clinical practice and safeguard high quality of care. Clinical Governance is central to the UK Government's agenda to ensure that quality of care becomes a key driver in the development of health services.

Echotech strives continually to improve the quality of service and therefore welcomes and adheres to the Clinical Governance Framework. By adopting an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach with our NHS partners, quality assurance has come about by developing transparent, sharing and supportive relationships.

Furthermore, our service has been specifically designed around those standards of care set nationally by NICE and the National Service Framework for coronary heart disease.

All Echotech Clinical Governance is overseen by our Clinical Lead - Consultant Cardiologist Echocardiography Specialist.
