Developing Services in line with New NICE Guideline (August 2010)

The implication is that the NHS must develop streamlined pathways offering rapid access to echo for increasing numbers of patients. Greater emphasis is placed on offering patients with suspected heart failure and previous MI rapid access to echo and specialist input.

Echotech forms a pivotal role in this new working arrangement by working with GPSI/Intermediary or Community Cardiology heart failure services so that diagnostics can still be delivered close to the patient’s home while being integrated into a wider service. This is the case across a number of Echotech’s existing contracts.
