EchoNet

A database driven system, EchoNet was custom designed to provide Echotech one application - to provide the necessary IT infrastructure to deliver a high quality diagnostic service over multiple locations.
EchoNet has two user realms, internal encompassing patient administration and service management and an external realm constituting the exchange of data between central server and clinic locations. All information exchange is conducted over 256bit SSL connections to ensure an extremely high level of data security.

The key functions of EchoNet are:

Patient administration
To accurately capture and securely store patient information for the purpose of their direct care. This integrates a diary system for scheduling clinic work lists, to automatically generate patient appointment letters and facilitate rebooking as needed.

Work List Generation
To minimise repeat data entry and associated errors, EchoNet generates and delivers work lists and pre-populated reports to the remote clinics.  EchoNet also receives the completed diagnostic reports (securely) ahead of dissemination to the referring clinician.

Service Performance Management
At the heart of EchoNet is the ability to strip out and analyse specific data whether it is clinical, demographic or performance related. EchoNet permits the efficient publication of “moment in time” Quality Accounts, based on a large number of KPIs / quality measures to support service appraisal by NHS commissioners.
